Uber sent a 1099-K. The IRS says you owe.Stop the letters, fix the returns, and lower what you actually owe.

Rideshare and delivery income has no withholding — and the IRS taxes the gross fare before Uber, Lyft, or DoorDash took their cut. If you owe $10,000 or more, we handle the IRS while you keep driving.

Roughly how much do you owe the IRS?

Sound familiar?

The app took its cut. The IRS taxed you on the whole fare.

Most drivers we help didn't do anything wrong. They drove full time, got a 1099-K for the gross, never got told about quarterlies, and the balance snowballed. Here's what that usually looks like:

IRS bill based on gross fares, not what you took home

The 1099-K reports every dollar riders paid — before Uber's cut, tolls, and fees. If nobody backed those out, your bill is inflated.

Zero mileage claimed

Mileage is the single biggest deduction a driver has. Full-time drivers routinely miss $10k–$20k a year in write-offs.

Never paid quarterlies, then a surprise self-employment tax

No employer withheld anything, so income tax and 15.3% self-employment tax hit at once — plus penalties for paying late.

Refund seized or bank account levied

The IRS took your refund, or sent a CP504/LT11 that puts the account your payouts land in at risk.

What we'll do for you
Stop levies on the bank account your payouts hit before they land
Rebuild your returns with mileage, phone, and vehicle deductions the IRS never gave you credit for
File the years you missed and get the penalties reduced where possible
Negotiate a settlement or a payment plan that fits weekly driver income
Handle it 100% by phone and text — no office visits, no time off the app
How it works — two steps
01

Investigation & representation

We pull your IRS transcripts, see exactly what's filed, unfiled, and owed, and appoint a licensed Tax Titans representative so the IRS talks to us — not you.

02

Resolution

Once we have the facts, we file what's missing, correct inflated balances, and pursue the best resolution for your situation — settlement, payment plan, or hardship status.

How this usually plays out

What the first 30 days look like for rideshare and delivery drivers

Typical starting point

A 1099-K reporting gross fares, no Schedule C filed, no mileage claimed, and a balance the IRS calculated on its own.

First 30 days
  1. Pull IRS transcripts to see what each platform reported and what the IRS assessed
  2. File power of attorney so the IRS calls us, not you
  3. Reconstruct mileage from trip logs and annual summaries, then file corrected returns
Then

With mileage and platform fees deducted, the balance is usually much lower. Then we pursue the resolution that fits — settlement, payment plan, or hardship status.

Common questions from drivers

Why does the IRS say I made more than I actually got paid?

Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash report gross fares on a 1099-K — before their commission, fees, and tolls. Those are deductible, but only if someone actually deducts them. Often nobody did.

I never tracked my mileage. Am I out of luck?

No. We reconstruct mileage from your app trip logs, annual summaries, and odometer records. It's the single biggest lever for lowering what you owe.

I haven't filed since I started driving. Can you help?

Yes — this is the most common situation we see with app drivers. We file the missing years properly, which usually lowers the balance the IRS came up with on its own.

Can the IRS take my payouts or bank account?

If collections escalate, yes — through a levy on the account your deposits land in. That's exactly what we step in to stop, and why acting on a CP504 or LT11 quickly matters.

Do I have to come to an office?

No. Everything is done by phone, text, and email, scheduled around when you're driving.

How much does it cost?

Every case is different. After your free review you get straightforward pricing before anything moves forward — no surprises.
